The Transition of Care Conference for Adult & Paediatric Surgeons will be held October 17-19, 2024, at the WITS club in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The Organizing Committee is thrilled to announce that the Colorectal Team Overseas (CTO) has generously funded 10 bursaries valued at 500 USD each to support African trainees and young consultants to attend the upcoming conference.

These bursaries/scholarships are intended to assist individuals in covering conference registration fees, lodging, or flights. Recipients will receive the funds via PayPal or Venmo transfer.

To apply for the bursary, interested candidates must meet the following selection criteria:

• Reside in an African country.
• Be either trainees or young consultants with no more than 5 years of professional experience.
• Specialize (or be in the process of specializing) in paediatric surgery or adult surgery with a demonstrated interest in colorectal surgery.

To apply for the bursary, interested candidates must submit a brief (no more than 250 word) support/cover letter explaining why they believe they should be awarded the bursary, along with a CV. The deadline for applications is April 15, 2024.

The selection process will be thorough and transparent, with the ten winners being announced by the end of May.
